March LIVE MUSIC - FREE Community Concert (see description for dates) Free Community Concert - by pianist Angeline Schmid and cellist Noel Snyder, with guest artist Konrad Owens. A free Community Concert by pianist, Angeline Schmid, and Cellist, Noel Snyder, will be presented on Sunday, March 25, from 2:30 to 4:30 pm in the Great Room at Sedona Creative Life Center. The Schmid-Snyder Duo is well known to local audiences after their two performances at the Sedona Public Library and their 2006 concert at Sedona Creative Life Center. Guest artist, Konrad Owens, clarinetist from Florida will again join Schmid-Snyder for this concert which will feature two trios by Mozart and Brahms, music expressly written for clarinet, cello and piano. Vienna Choir Boys The Vienna Choir Boys will make its Sedona debut in a concert made possible by the generous support of concert sponsors Birgit and Werner Loewenstein, Patricia and Hans Lampl, the Arizona Commission on the Arts, and Hotel Host Hampton Inn of Sedona. No group of child musicians has won more renown than the incomparable Weiner Saumlngerknaben, founded in 1498. Six centuries later, the famed Vienna Choir Boys continue to delight music lovers across the globe with their purity of tone, musical depth and distinctive charm. Many luminaries have been connected with the choir over the years. Franz Schubert, Joseph and Michael Haydn, Mozart, Salieri, Bruckner and Britten are closely connected with the choir's rich history. Friday evening's performance with Kerem Sezen conducting, will cover 500 years of music. April Sedona Spring 2007 Retreat For the spring retreat, we will be staying at the Orchards Inn of Sedona. It is located in uptown Sedona, close to shopping and restaurants. There is an outdoor pool and Jacuzzi as well as views of Oak Creek. Each room will have two queen size beds and a fireplace. Rooms will be shared between two participants. Transportation will be provided from the airport, if you are able to arrive at roughly the same time as the main group. We will be making 4 hikes, different from last years. There will be meditation time likely on the hikes. Also included will be sessions with Janette - pedicure and reading, Lynne - energy movement session and a coaching session with Janice.
